Avonmore Way Walk

The Avonmore Way is a new 12km trail which will provide a strategic off road link with Rathdrum and Laragh to promote independent access to Laragh Grows Fruity Last weekend some members of Laragh Glendalough Community Garden group planted apple and plum trees in the village with the helpful hand of some residents. The trees will benefit the environment, the community who will eat from them and enhance the village with  their beauty each year. Funding was acquired from Wicklow County Council thanks to the efforts of the gardening group. Badminton

The ever popular badminton classes are at the Brockagh Resource Centre on Tuesday with Juniors (4th class up) 7-8pm and Seniors 8-9pm, on Thursday Junior Badminton 7-8pm and Seniors 8-9pm, contact Finian on 086 247 6822.

Bealtaine Festival Afternoon Tea Dance

As part of the Bealtaine Festival we are celebrating creativity in older age together at the Brockagh Resource Centre and one of our events will be an afternoon tea dance on Sunday 22th May, 3-6pm with music from the Wicklow Man and hosted by Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement association. Refreshments will be provided.

Start Your Own Business

The objective of the Start Your Own Business programme is to assist participants in assessing the viability of business ideas and in understanding the essential elements required to start up and run their own business. TOPICS COVERED: Self-assessment, legal issues, preparing a business plan, marketing for small business, researching the market, finance, sources of funding, basic bookkeeping, sales, using IT in your business & social media. Starting in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Thursday 12th May 2016 for 10wks one evening per week at 7pm-10pm. Cost is €80 with 15 places available.
