Snow White & the Babes in the Wood    

We welcome back The Roundwood Variety Group in January for another fantastic show. This year it will be Snow White and The Babes in the Wood, another hilarious panto written by the talented Thomas O Leary. Tidy Towns A.G.M.

Laragh/Glendalough Tidy Towns A.G.M. takes place on Tues 17th of January in the Brockagh Centre. We  need some new committee members  so please do come along. Local councillors have been invited to a follow on meeting at 8.15pm.

Recycling this Christmas                                                                                                           Remember to re-cycle as much as possible over Christmas, bottle and drink tin banks are in the car park at the back of the Brockagh Resource Centre and in the Upper Lake, Glendalough. Walking  group in the Brockagh  

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the walking group with Get Ireland Walking at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour. In association with Get Ireland Walking, Wicklow Local Sports Partnership & Brockagh Resource Centre. All ages and abilities are welcome. If you would like to set up a walking group in Wicklow contact us on wicklowlsp@wicklowcoco.ie for more information. The walking group will be starting back for 2017 on the 9th of January.

Pilates at the Brockagh Centre          

Starting in January 2017, Marie Noonan will be teaching Pilates at the Brockagh Resource Centre. Marie has 17 years fully qualified experience in helping people rehabilitate, heal and transform in mind, body and soul. There will be a choice of morning and evening classes available. Active Retirement 2016 and 2017   

 Last year Laragh and Glendalough Active Retirement group had an eventful year. Congratulations to one of our members Anthony Flynn who joined the committee of County Wicklow Network for Older People. Throughout the year the group had day and overnight trips around the country. Wicklow was the winner of Go for Life 2016 games, congratulations to Dick Mahon, Olive Mahon, Finian McEnvoy and John Holden who participated and are from our AR group, who were part of the team.  Joan Kavanagh won the Christmas hamper. The coming year is no less eventful with an invite to the Dail, more leisure trips, lunches, connecting with other AR groups, tea dances, weekly exercise are just a few events planned for 2017.The group’s first day back for 2017 will be on January 24th.

Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Call Master Kenneth Wheatley on 087-2547347 for further information. Classes are on Tuesdays at 7.45-8.45pm (Seniors & Teens). Classes for 2017 will return Jan 10th.

GAA Training                                                                              

Training for the under 8yrs will be returning back on the 3rd of February.

Happy Days                                                                                                          

Happy Days is from 10.30 to 12.00 weekly. We would like to invite people with babies and young child to come for a social morning with their children for some play, chat and of course light refreshments.
