Glendalough Car Boot Sales

 Come along on Sunday, 2nd of July to our monthly feast of bargains and socialising. You can find  everything from cream cakes, scones, bread and jam, plants, antiques, clothing, jewellery etc. Vans must be booked in. Car park spaces for the next month or so will be limited so please pre-book indoor spaces early. Laragh/Glendalough Active Retirement

On Tuesday  20th of June the group went on their annual holiday in Ireland. This year twenty four members had a lovely stay in the Clayton Whites Hotel, Wexford. The trip kicked off with lunch in Rathwood, followed by some shopping. Wexford & Waterford offers some interesting day tours which the group availed of, Dunbrody Famine Ship, Waterford & Suir Valley Railway and Johnstown Castle. The Brockagh had arranged music in the hotel for night entertainment. With an eventful year behind them the weekly Tuesday meetings are ending for the Summer break with lunch in the Glenmalure Lodge on July 4th and joining them are friends from Sunbeam.

High Intensity Fitness Dane (H.I.F.D)                   

Just pop in on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Brockagh Centre to dance your socks off with Adam and the class in cardio exercise dancing, dropping those extra calories. You do not need to be a good dancer or very fit, dance at your own pace and enjoy the music. You can contact Adam on 083 3057949 for information.

Adult Guidance Service  

Adult Career Guidance Service is available at the Brockagh Centre. This careers/education service is free, friendly, confidential, supportive and available to all adults over 18 years of age. For more information or to book an appointment please contact Irene Hayden on 086-8061569.

Citizen’s Information Clinic   

The Citizens Information Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre is open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10 am until noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service.

Tai Chi and QiGong Starting 11th of July 

The end of this term is June 20th with a new block of classes starting on the 11th of July. Tai Chi and QiGong classes are very powerful tools which help to heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Traditional Basket-making Workshop

This full day, traditional basket-making workshop will teach you basic basketry techniques. Taught in a relaxed learning environment, you will bring home your own completed small round willow basket (a skib). The workshops will take place in the Brockagh Centre from 9-5 pm on July 16th and August 8th, 2017. Classes are small with 5 participants. Garden workshop   also available on request. McGrath-Flood School of Irish Dancing Coming to Brockagh Centre/Laragh

Irish Dancing to start on Saturday 16th Sept from  9am-10am. Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults Starting July 4th                                                                                       

A new term for Teens and adults will be starting July 4th. Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence has Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health.
