McGrath-Flood School of Irish Dancing

Irish Dancing to start on Saturday 16th Sept from 9am-10am in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Classes are for beginners and is for age 3yrs up. Free Computer Course

A free 5-week digital skills computer course is commencing Friday 29th of Sept. Topics covered include online banking, apps, online government services, email, shopping online, photographs and much more. St John’s Church, Laragh

Will hold a special service to celebrate its 150th anniversary of dedication on Tuesday the 19th of September at 7.30pm. All are very welcome to attend.

St. Kevin’s Parish, Glendalough

Anointing of the Sick- On Sunday 24th of September at 10.30am we will have anointing of the sick during the mass.

Mass of Remembrance-A Special mass for all those who died during the year will be celebrated on Saturday the 18th of November 2017 at 7.00pm.

Positive Aging Week 2017

Run the Ridge in October

On 14th October you will have a chance to run the majestic Derrybawn Ridge while supporting local sports teams Glendalough AC and Laragh GFC. The race begins in the scenic grounds of Laragh GFC before taking runners on a 20 km adventure on the local trails and hills. A shorter 8 km option is also available. The courses are fully marked, and a mighty spread of cakes and tea will be on offer for the post-race celebrations! For full details and bookings please go to www.runtheridge.ie

Haunted Halloween Kids Day

Calling all little ghouls and spooks! Join us for our Horrifying Haunted Halloween House on Saturday October 28th. Jam-packed with activities including Ghouling Games, Frightful Feasts, Alarming Art, Petrifying Prizes, Terrifying Treasure Hunt and a Death-Defying Disco, this Haunted House is sure to be the creepiest one around! New Dates for Traditional Basket-making Workshop

This full day, traditional basket-making workshop will teach you basic basketry techniques. Taught in a relaxed learning environment, you will bring home your own completed small round willow basket (a skib). The workshops will take place in the Brockagh Centre from 9-5 pm  7th(1 place left) and 21st(2 places left)   of Oct, 2017. Classes are small with 5 participants. Pilates at the Brockagh 

Marie Noonan is a qualified Pilate’s teacher and has been teaching for the last 17 years and works full time as a movement therapist for rehabilitation, health and longevity.The duration of the class is seven weeks and will start at 9.15am to 10.15am and another class at and 10.15 to 11.15am in the Brockagh Resource Centre. We Love Art                                                                                                                          

Classes on Monday afternoons are for Primary school children. They are taught by artist and qualified art teacher Almha Roche. Classes held in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh are small, and divided by age group. In the classes we work with lots of different art and craft forms. Adult Art                                                                                                                                            

This painting class will help you to find your own artistic style in your preferred medium. It is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters. Take up a new hobby or develop your skills and techniques in a friendly and informal group. Drama School                                                                                                                         

Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Elevation Dance School
