Christmas Raffle in aid of St. Kevin’s Church

The raffle is in aid of St. Kevin’s Church and will take place in Glendalough Hotel on Tues 19th. Dec after Carol Singing. Tickets are on sale at the Christmas Craft Fair in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh on Sun 10th of Dec, in local shops and in the Parish Office. Your support will be very much appreciated. 

Santa Is Coming To Brockagh

Come and welcome Santa and his two horse carriage at the Glendalough Christmas Fair, Sunday the 10th of December at 1pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Santa is inviting all children from 1pm to 3pm to visit with him in his grotto.  

Movie Night at the Brockagh Centre December 17th

Christmas Movie Night to raise funds for Elevation Dance Team at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. We are looking to raise funds for uniforms, Westend and Disney opportunities, also for competitions at national level. Showing movie will be Elf on Dec 17th, a family favourite! Doors will open at 5pm with entrance fee of €4.50 which includes a hot chocolate. Wear your favourite Christmas pyjamas. 

 

Glendalough Christmas Fair

The Brockagh Resource Centre is having their annual Glendalough Christmas Fair on Sunday the 10th Dec. In order for this event to succeed & continue, we need the support of the community and visitors to shop local where you will find unique presents and gifts at very good value while enjoying a very festive day out. Stallholders will be selling their baking, jewellery, wreaths, woodturning, knits, candles, decorations, photography and more on the day. Santa arriving in a carriage at 1pm.  Razzle Dazzle Annual Christmas Showcase

“The Razzle Dazzle Academy presents their Annual Christmas Showcase, featuring all our wonderful Dazzlers, on Saturday 16th December in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh. Show starts at 3pm (doors open 2.45pm) Promises to be lots of fun, filled with song, drama and laughter and guaranteed to get you in the Christmas Spirit! Tickets available at the door.” 

 

 Christmas Carols by candlelight in the Monastic City

A great way to start Christmas, in one of the most evocative settings in Wicklow. We invite you to join us on Tuesday 19th December at 7.30pm for a unique event to celebrate Christmas. Beginning with a candlelit procession through the monastic gates we will proceed to the ruins of the candlelit Cathedral for an evening of traditional carol singing in the monastic style. Tea, coffee will be provided afterwards in the Glendalough Hotel courtesy of Pat Casey. This a free event and open to everyone, including children, which must be accompanied by an adult. Assemble in the Glendalough Hotel car park at 7.15pm. Wrap up warm and bring your own lantern/torch and singing voice.

 Irish Dancing Classes

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from  9am-10am. Happy Days  pre-Christmas Dates                                                                                                                            

Our warmest welcome to baby Summer into the world and best wishes to Kerry, Scott and Hunter who have an extra happy edition to their family this Christmas. Happy Days baby and toddler drop in group is every Wednesday morning 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre(break in July and Aug). Christmas party will be on Dec 13th. Active Retirement News Laragh

Our Christmas lunch will be in the Wicklow Heather on 12th December. This week David and Francis from Aughrim Bowling Facility attended the centre for a bowling session. The members look forward to their monthly session and have become very competitive. On the 12 th December pupils from the primary school will be attending the Brockagh Centre to perform Christmas carols for the Active Retirement and Sunbeam Services. It will commence at 11.30am, grandparents are most welcome to attend on the day. New members welcome, why not come along on a Tuesday morning at 11am and check us out.

 

Beauty and the Beast Pantomime 2018

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Call Master Kenneth Wheatley on 087-2547347 for further information. Classes are on Tuesdays at 7.45-8.45pm (Seniors & Teens).
