Laragh Glendalough Notes Week beg 3rd Sept 2018

Laragh Community First Responder Group

Now we have our Public Access Defibrillator installed at Willie McCoy’s shop, we have been having information evenings over the past number of months. A certified CFR training course will be held in the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Centre on 15 September 2018 at 10:00am for all who are interested in being a Public Responder. A lot of people attended the information sessions and this training will certify anyone who’s interested in making a difference to a person in need. If you would like to attend the training please contact any of the Laragh Community First Responder Group or Sheila Kavanagh on 087 212 1522 so that we can plan to have enough trainers there. Watch our Facebook page for any additional notes nearer to the date.

Tidy Town notes.

The evenings are getting shorter now so we will have one last chance at getting together on Wednesday 05 September 2018 at 7:00pm for all to help clean up the area. It’s great to see all the helpers each month and even if the 1st Wednesday doesn’t suit – any time of day or evening will be great!

The judging for this year’s Tidy Town competition is still on-going so hopefully we will continue to score well due to the great efforts of everyone in keeping the area clean and maintained. The judging for the kerbside garden will be taking place soon so keep working! Watch Facebook page for further updates.
