Active Retirement

We thank Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa Laragh for a delightful performance last week. Every year we look forward to seeing the children come to visit us at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh where we celebrate the holidays together with some music and light refreshments. Active Retirement group will return after Christmas on the Tues 15th January at 11am and are always welcoming new members.

The Brockagh Resource Centre wishes to thank everyone who has supported us through joining classes, using computers, donating to fundraisers, booking our facilities throughout 2018 without your support we could not continue. A special thank you to our dedicated staff, who are always ready to greet and help customers, also to our board of management for volunteering their time.  We wish you all and your families a very happy, peaceful and joyous 2019. Tiny Feet Montessori

Tiny Feet are very busy preparing for Christmas as it is a very exciting time of year. We all wish you a joyful, magical Christmas and Happy New Year! Traditional Basket Weaving Workshops  

Learn to make a traditional round basket using willow. Suitable for both beginners and improvers. The next full day workshops are taking place on Sat 19th and the 26th of Jan 2019 in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh from 9am to 5pm.. A Life in the Trees

The paperback version of local man Declan Murphy’s A Life in the Trees has just been released. Declan’s unique and personal account of a family of woodpeckers raising their young in our area would make a wonderful Christmas present.

We Love Art

Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons.  Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills.  Classes are small and places must be reserved in advance, the first class is free for new students. Adult Art Classes

Wednesday morning  drawing and painting classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters.  Students choose the medium(s) with which they wish to work, and develop their interests and personal style with Almha’s advice and guidance.  If you are thinking of getting back into your art, or trying something new to explore your creative side, now is a good time!  Classes are at 11-12.30pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh, commencing on September 19th. Drama School                                                                                                                         

Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Elevation holds a 100% pass rate in IBSD examinations. Elevation Drama Junior (5.45-6.45pm) at the Brockagh Centre. Contact Kate on 086 8256775. Class returning on the 9th Jan 2019.

Elevation Dance School
