East Coast Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning 2019

Join us for a coffee morning of delicious treats and entertainment with music from Abhainn Dubh on Sun 24th of March from 10am to 1pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Traditional Basket Weaving Workshops 

Learn to make a traditional round basket using willow. Suitable for both beginners and improvers. The next workshop takes place on and 20th of April in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh from 9am to 5pm. We Love Art

Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills. Classes are small and places must be reserved in advance, the first class is free for new students. Adult Art Classes

Wednesday morning drawing and painting classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters. Students choose the medium(s) with which they wish to work, and develop their interests and personal style with Almha’s advice and guidance.  If you are thinking of getting back into your art, or trying something new to explore your creative side, now is a good time!  Classes are at 11-12.30pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh, commencing on September 19th. Drama School 

Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Pilates Classes in Laragh

Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement. This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all. Scrap Metal Day

Clean up your home or Farmyard for free  from the  Mon 25th to Sun 31th of  March. Leave your metal scrap around the back of the building near the bottle bank. To view the kind of scrap acceptable, go to Brockagh Resource Centre Facebook page. This is a fundraiser in aid of the Brockagh Resource Centre(0404 45600 or brockaghresourcecentre@gmail.com). We cannot accept any “white goods”, i.e. fridges, washing machine, dryers, cookers. All those items need to be disposed of at an approved WEEE facility. All other metals, iron, steel, galvanised iron, such as shed roofs or parts of fences/gates, can be accepted. Also stainless steel such as kitchen sinks.
