Glendalough Car Boot Sales 2019        

Our next car boot day will be on Sun, 7th of April, open from 10am to 4pm. Bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600 or email laraghit@eircom.netif you wish to book an indoor space or if you prefer to sell outside just show up at 8am on the morning.

Climate Change Talk

On April 11th, Laragh Tidy Towns will host a workshop on how to reduce waste and improve recycling in the home. The talk will take place in the Brockagh Resource Centre, starting at 7.30pm. Access Funding for Community Projects for your Area

Funding workshops will be run by Wicklow County Council and County Wicklow Partnership providing information about funding schemes that are aimed at the revitalization of rural areas. Information Workshop for Grant Schemes 2019 for this area will be held on Wednesday, 3rd of April in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 7pm. Remote Emergency Care Course

A two-day Remote Emergency Care course will be held in the Brockagh Centre on 30th March (9 am to 6 pm) and 31st March (9 am to 5 pm). This is a Level 2 course or a refresher for Level 3. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 12 students and the cost of €140 includes all course materials, tea/coffee and lunch. To book, or for further details, please email remotefirstaid@hotmail.com.

Evening Yoga with Viva                         

Viva’s yoga classes are for beginners to intermediate on Tuesdays at 7pm in the Brockagh Centre. Improve your fitness strength and flexibility in a relaxing way. Wear comfortable clothes on the night and bring a blanket. Mats are available on the night. You can contact Viva on 086 3409629 for more information.

Walking  group in the Brockagh

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough/Brockagh area for approximately one hour. All different levels of walkers.

Citizen’s Information Clinic                                                                                                     

The Citizens Information Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre is open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10 am until noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service.

Traditional Basket Weaving Workshops 

Learn to make a traditional round basket using willow. Suitable for both beginners and improvers. The next workshop takes place on and 20th of April in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh from 9am to 5pm. Scrap Metal Week

Clean up your home or Farmyard for free  from the  Mon 25th to Sun 31th of  March. Leave your metal scrap around the back of the building near the bottle bank. To view the kind of scrap acceptable, go to Brockagh Resource Centre Facebook page. This is a fundraiser in aid of the Brockagh Resource Centre(0404 45600 or brockaghresourcecentre@gmail.com). We can’t accept any “white goods”, i.e. fridges, washing machine, dryers, cookers. All those items need to be disposed of at an approved WEEE facility. All other metals, iron, steel, galvanised iron, such as shed roofs or parts of fences/gates, can be accepted. Also stainless steel such as kitchen sinks. 

2019 American Celebration of Music
Southeastern University, Florida, the SEU Chamber Singers and Women’s Choir featuring
Victoria Keller, accompanist, with Dr. Daniel Gordon, director, will be giving a free performance in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Tuesday 14th of May. Show starting at 11.30am, everyone is welcome.
