Scrap Metal Day

Clean up your home or Farmyard for free  from the  Mon 25th to Sun 31th of  March. Leave your metal scrap around the back of the building near the bottle bank. To view the kind of scrap acceptable, go to Brockagh Resource Centre Facebook page. This is a fundraiser in aid of the Brockagh Resource Centre(0404 45600 or brockaghresourcecentre@gmail.com). We can not accept any “white goods”, i.e. fridges, washing machine, dryers, cookers. All those items need to be disposed of at an approved WEEE facility. All other metals, iron, steel, galvanised iron, such as shed roofs or parts of fences/gates, can be accepted. Also stainless steel such as kitchen sinks. 

Angelic Workshops 2019

The next Angelic workshop in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh will be on the 14th of April (Angels and Crystals), the last workshop takes place on the 19th May (A Rainbow Day with the Angels). For information and to book a place call 087 904 8146.

Remote First Aid Course

A two-day Remote Emergency Care course will be held in the Brockagh Centre on 30th March (9 am to 6 pm) and 31st March (9 am to 5 pm). This is a Level 2 course or a refresher for Level 3. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 12 students and the cost of €140 includes all course materials, tea/coffee and lunch. To book, or for further details, please email remotefirstaid@hotmail.com

Happy Days

Tuesdays mornings 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre, parents, babies and toddlers get together, have lots of fun weeks with art & crafts and make new friends. It is also a great way to meet and socialize with parents, especially if you are new to the area. Contact us at 0404-45600 at the centre for more information.

Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Call Master Kenneth Wheatley on 087-2547347 for further information. Classes are on Tuesdays at 7.45-8.45pm (Seniors & Teens).

Go For Life Group                                                              

The group meet most Tuesdays, so if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, bowls, music come along on at 11am, they welcome any newcomer. The group meet for lunch once a month at various venues. For further information, call Denise at the Brockagh Centre on (0404) 45600 or drop in.
