 Metal Scrap Day a Great Success

Thank you to anyone in the community who got rid of their unwanted scrap in our recent fund raiser for the Brockagh Resource Centre, we raised €1,145.00.

 County Wicklow Older Person’s AGM

A date for your diary, join us for the County Wicklow Older Person’s Council AGM, taking place on the 31st May. Great speakers followed by lunch and a tea dance.  No admission fee.  

New Local Link Bus Glendalough/Wicklow

A new 183 bus service operating at regular times each day from Glendalough to Wicklow and returning has started. Pick up and drop at Glendalough Visitor Centre, Laragh(Great Gas), Annamoe(Family Fishing Centre), Roundwood(Wood’s Bistro), Ashford, Rathnew then several stops in Wicklow Town.

Tidy Towns Laragh and Glendalough

A clean up around the area will be on May 7th and we welcome any helpers to meet opposite Lynhams at 7pm. The group are encouraging biodiversity in the area. Native trees were planted by the students of Tiny Feet in front of the Brockagh Resource Centre last week. Glendalough Country Market & Car Boot Sales       

We have now moved to the 2nd Sunday of the month. Encouraging local and non-local producers of plants, vegetables, crafts etc. Our next event will be on Sun, 12th of May, open from 10am to 4pm. Bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600 or email laraghit@eircom.netif you wish to book an indoor space or if you prefer to sell outside just show up at 8am on the morning.

Development Plans for Laragh and Glendalough

The Wicklow County Council, Laragh and Glendalough Infrastructure Improvements will be on display in the Brockagh Resource Centre lobby for public viewing.

Angelic Workshops 2019

The last workshop for this season in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh will be on the 19th May (A Rainbow Day with the Angels). For information or to book a place call 087 904 8146.

Free Computer Course

A free 5-week digital skills computer course are run thoughout the year, two hours one day a week. Topics covered include online banking, apps, online government services, email, shopping online, photographs, podcasts, TV players, social media and much more.
