Metal Scrap Day a Great Success

Thank you to anyone in the community who got rid of their unwanted scrap in our recent fund raiser for the Brockagh Resource Centre, we raised €1,145.00.

County Wicklow Older Person’s AGM

A date for your diary, join us for the County Wicklow Older Person’s Council AGM, taking place on the 31st May. Great speakers followed by lunch and a tea dance.  No admission fee. 

 Tidy Towns Laragh and Glendalough

A clean up around the area will be on May 7th and we welcome any helpers to meet opposite Lynhams at 7pm. The group are encouraging biodiversity in the area. Native trees were planted by the students of Tiny Feet in front of the Brockagh Resource Centre last week. Glendalough Country Market & Car Boot Sales       

We have now moved to the 2nd Sunday of the month. Encouraging local and non-local producers of plants, vegetables, crafts etc. Our next event will be on Sun, 12th of May, open from 10am to 4pm. Bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Angelic Workshops 2019

The last workshop for this season in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh will be on the 19th May (A Rainbow Day with the Angels). For information or to book a place call 087 904 8146.

 Free Computer Course

A free 5-week digital skills computer course are run thoughout the year, two hours one day a week. Topics covered include online banking, apps, online government services, email, shopping online, photographs, podcasts, TV players, social media and much more. This course is for beginners or someone who is rarely online and wants to up skill. Call the Brockagh Resource Centre on 0404 45600 or email laraghit@eircom.net.

2019 American Celebration of Music
Southeastern University, Florida, the SEU Chamber Singers and Women’s Choir featuring
Victoria Keller, accompanist, with Dr. Daniel Gordon, director, will be giving a free performance in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Tuesday 14th of May. Show starting at 11.30am in St.Kevins church Laragh, everyone is welcome.

Happy Days

Tuesdays mornings 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre, parents, babies and toddlers get together, have lots of fun weeks with art & crafts and make new friends. It is also a great way to meet and socialize with parents, especially if you are new to the area. Contact us at 0404-45600 at the centre for more information.

Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Call Master Kenneth Wheatley on 087-2547347 for further information. Classes are on Tuesdays at 7.45-8.45pm (Seniors & Teens).

Go For Life The group meet most Tuesdays, so if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, bowls, music come along on at 11am, they welcome any newcomer.
