County Wicklow PPN 2019 Plenary Meeting

We are inviting community groups to our first 2019 Plenary Meeting themed: Let’s tell our stories and preserve our heritage. Meeting will be held in the Brockagh Resource Centre Laragh on Thurs 20th of june at 7.30pm. Hear from the Heritage Office of Wicklow County Council and the National Museum of Ireland about existing and upcoming opportunities for communities to record, preserve and share their local heritage. Morning Yoga with Louise

Louise’s yoga class will be held every Thursday from 10 to 11.15 am in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.. This is a gently-paced class where students learn how to align, open and strengthen the body gradually while stabilizing the platforms of the feet and ankles, hips and pelvis and shoulder girdle. The class begins with general and targeted warm-up sequences followed by postures (Asanas) and Vinyasa (breath-connected) sequences before final relaxation in Savasana. Chair Yoga

Our very popular Chair Yoga class will take place on Thursdays from 11.30 am to 12.45 pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.. Chair Yoga is suitable for almost everyone and helps students find balance and calm in everyday life. The class takes students through centering and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement whilst seated or through use of the chair whilst standing. Irish Dancing Classes

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from  9am-10am. Summer Festival

We are delighted to host this year’s Summer festival for older people on the 25th of June at the Brockagh Resource Centre. The Singing Angels Coming to Perform in Brockagh Centre
The Singing Angels, founded in 1964, will be performing in the main hall on the 13th June(start time TBC) in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. The mission is to engage youth from all communities in quality music and performing arts education that teaches teamwork, builds confidence, and provides a foundation for life. Since its debut, The Singing Angels has performed in 34 countries, sung with major celebrities, accompanied symphonies, and entertained dignitaries, presidents, and popes. Everyone is welcome with free entrance and car parking.
