Dancing with Declan Flanagan

At the Brockagh Resource Centre Laragh. Learn to dance the quick and easy way. If you’re fed up sitting when you go to a dance, I’ll keep it simple! Don’t miss this chance! Call Declan on 085 708 9128 or log on to dancingwithdeclan.ie. Class from 8pm to 10pm on Mon August 12th. Irish country jive, quickstep, waltz, line dancing and lots more.

 Tidy Towns

Next clean up in the area will be Tues 6th of Aug(1st Tues of each month) with hopefully more volunteers, as usual meet opposite Lynhams Hotel at 7pm. Please make a very special effort to join us in keeping the village clean and tidy when you can where you can. Tidy Towns judging is ongoing this time of year.

Biodiversity

TT had erected an visual informational biodiversity sign close to  the Community Gardens. Unfortunately, we were disappointed that after 24 hrs of it being installed it was pulled down. It has been re-installed and hopefully this will not be repeated.

Community Garden

The Community Garden is growing vigorously with plenty of vegetables being harvested at this time.

 Glendalough Cemetery Award

On Wed 17th July, 2019 in the Aula Maxima Hall, Maynooth University, Co. Kildare, Glendalough Cemetery was awarded a Green Flag for year 2019/2020. It’s the first Green Space/Park in Co. Wicklow to receive this award.  Congratulations to all the volunteers who contributed with their time and energy for preparing the cemetery to enter this award.

New Playground in Laragh

A playground is now open to the public in Laragh next to the Brockagh Resource Centre car park. Please be mindful of keeping the playground tidy, no dogs allowed and as no bins are provided please take your rubbish home.

Saint Kevins’s Way Challenge 6th October
