A Mass of Thanksgiving

This Friday night, 27 June, Fr. Thady Doyle is celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving in God’s Cottage, Glendalough, for 40 years in the priesthood.   Those coming should phone us at God’s Cottage 0404 45111 in advance to let us know, so that we can best be organised for the occasion.  Following Mass, there will be the blessing of the new private car park for patrons of God’s Cottage, and also the blessing of the new outdoor oratory.   In future those attending events in God’s Cottage will be able to park in the patron’s car park.

Purchase of Sawmill Yard

God’s Cottage Charitable Trust recently purchased the old sawmill yard and field behind God’s Cottage.  As we pray and reflect about its future possible use, we would be very happy to receive the loan of old photos which show what the yard was like when it was in full operation.  Photos can be left at God’s Cottage, preferably in an envelope marked “for the attention of Fr. Doyle”.  Do make sure to include your own name and address. Once scanned, we would be very happy to return all photos.
