St Brigid’s Day

There will be a weekend celebration of St Brigid on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February in Glendalough.  Join us for to learn about the Swedish links with St Brigid traditions, Cross making workshop, History talk and traditions, herbal medicine, harp meditation.  On Sunday there will be a choice of 3 reflective walks around Glendalough.  Booking is essential  For full programme details contact Rosaleen on 087 6168460 or rdurkin@imaginationgym.com.

 

Honk, The Ugly Duckling Musical

Tickets for Roundwood Variety Groups production of HONK The Ugly Duckling a fantastic musical by George Stiles and Anthony Drew are now on sale & are selling fast.  This musical has something for young and old, it’s funny, it’s sad and it’s a show not to be missed  To book tickets you can go on to our website www.roundwoodvarietygroup.com choose your seats and then arrange payment by emailing info@roundwoodvariety.com or telephoning 086 2451829. When payment is made you will get a link which will allow you to print off your tickets. Citizens Information

Change of Opening Hours . The Citizens Information Centre (CIC) at the Brockagh Resource Centre has changed its opening hours. From Tuesday 3rd February it will only be open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10 am until noon on the first Tuesday of each month. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service

 

Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa, Glendalough Enrolment 2015 and beyond

The enrolment process for September 2015 is underway. If you would like to enrol your child for September 2015, please contact the office immediately on 0404 -45460. We are also looking ahead and planning for future enrolments up to 2018. If you have not previously called us to include your child on the admission lists for 2016, 2017 or 2018, please contact the office on 0404-45460.

 

Laragh Glendalough Operation Transformation

Great group coming along on Tuesday and Thursday night for  Laragh Glendalough Operation Transformation at the Brockagh Centre.  We meet on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. for  weigh-in (optional), short walk and talk.  And on Thursday night normally at Glendalough Hotel Car Park at 7pm.  All welcome .  Wear suitable clothing, reflective jacket, torch and bring a drink.  Call the Brockagh Centre on (0404) 45600.

 

Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement

It’s great to be back on Tuesdays in the Brockagh Centre.  All welcome to join the group every week at 11 a.m. for  light exercise, chat and tea.  Our next lunch is in on Tuesday 3 February at 12.45 p.m. in Lynhams Hotel.

 

Dancercise

Dancercise with Adam will take place in the function room in Lynhams on Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. fopr the month of January and will then return to the Brockagh Centre in February.

 

 

Car Boot Sale

Our next Car Boot Sale at the Brockagh Centre takes place on Sunday 8 February – indoor spaces must be pre-booked and prepaid.  Vans must be booked in.  All subsequent car boot sales after 8 February will return to their normal slot of the first Sunday of the month.  Call (0404) 45600

 

Laragh Trail Run

The second annual Laragh Trail Run in aid of Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa takes place  on Saturday 14 March which begins at 10 am. All runners, joggers and walkers are welcome to complete the route of 6 km (similar to last year) or 11 km (more challenging).  You can find out more and register online at www.laraghtrailrun.com.

 

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.  If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.

 

Annamoe Handball Club AGM

The AGM of Annamoe Handball Club will take place on Thursday 29 January 2015 at 8.30 p.m. in Annamoe Community Centre. We are looking to re-establish a handball club in the Laragh/Glendalough & Roundwood area. We are currently providing coaching to primary school children and we will outline some of our plans for 2015 on the night. We would also like to get input from other people and interested parties.
