Curvy Whirlies Fitness Class

Sunshine Fitness is proud to announce that our ‘Curvy Whirlies’ plus-sized ladies class is coming to the Brockagh Centre in Laragh this November 6th. This low-impact and fun exercise class will focus on strength building using a mixture of gentle movement, weights and stretching. No skinny-minnies allowed! Mindfulness & Craft Workshop

Morning Yoga with Louise

Louise’s yoga class will be held every Thursday from 10 to 11.15 am in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.. This is a gently-paced class where students learn how to align, open and strengthen the body gradually while stabilizing the platforms of the feet and ankles, hips and pelvis and shoulder girdle. The class begins with general and targeted warm-up sequences followed by postures (Asanas) and Vinyasa (breath-connected) sequences before final relaxation in Savasana. Chair Yoga

Our very popular Chair Yoga class will take place on Thursdays from 11.30 am to 12.45 pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.. Chair Yoga is suitable for almost everyone and helps students find balance and calm in everyday life. The class takes students through centering and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement whilst seated or through use of the chair whilst standing. Footfalls Walking Festival

Footfalls Walking Festival will be based in the Brockagh Resource Centrefrom Fri 25th to Mon 28th of Oct with many of the walks taking us through Wicklow Mountains National Park. All walks are led by experienced walking leaders who will enhance your day with information on local history flora and fauna.The weekend offers a selection of walking choices such as Lugnaquilla (925 m), a night walk, moderate to easy walks throughout the weekend. Please note: Walks may be changed on the day depending on weather conditions or the fitness level of the group at the leader’s discretion. Irish Dancing Classes

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from  9am-10am. Violin Lessons

Laragh Badminton Club

Badminton classes are in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh with  Mon, Juniors 7-8pm (4th class), 8-9pm (5th Class up) on Thurs evenings  Juniors from 7-8pm(2nd yrs), Seniors at 8-9pm on Thursday evenings. Active Retirement

The group meets every Tuesday morning at 11am in the Brockagh Centre and for lunch once a month at various local venues (new members welcome).  Their next monthly lunch will be in Lynhams on the 12th Nov.  Our Christmas Tea Dance is on Sunday 17th November from 3 – 6pm, music is by the Wicklow Man. We are looking for prizes for our raffle so if anyone has any unwanted gifts that they would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated. Annual Christmas shopping trip, Wed 20th Nov.  also the Christmas party is on Tues 10th Dec in Co. Meath. There are a limited number of places left, call Denise 0404 45600 asap for further info. Our Christmas lunch will be in the Wicklow Heather on 17th Dec.
