Brockagh Resource Centre News

Meeting With Our Younger Community

We would like to meet with our younger community members (12yrs-18yrs) from the area at 7pm on Thursday July 1st!

An informal space to see how we could work together and create an outlet for young people to grow or just be yourselves! Refreshments on us for the meet up!

Your Opinion Matters!

Our new manager Gráinne Fennell is calling on the local community to submit their ideas for outdoor events this summer in the Centre! Please submit your ideas to brockaghoffice@gmail.com.

If you wish to make an event or room booking call (0404) 45600 or email brockaghresourcecentre@gmail.com. Check out up to date information on our website at www.brockaghresourcecentre.ie or check us out on FB and Twitter

Wicklow Mountains National Park

We are delighted to announce that Glendalough Community Excavations will return 4th-13th August 2021 after our enforced absence last year due to Covid. If you have an interest in archaeology and Glendalough it is a fantastic experience. We regret we cannot offer places to those under 18 this year but we hope to welcome younger participants again next year. Adult places (subject to availability) are available from fixed blocks of one or two days to facilitate Covid protocols. No prior knowledge of excavation is required and for information and details of application please email glendaloughheritageforum@gmail.com.

Laragh and Glendalough Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns Application

Tidy Towns judges will be around our area soon and we would like to ask our community to make a special effort to present our village at it’s best. Many hands make light work as the saying goes!

Clean Up Evening

Our monthly clean up will be on the 6th of July at 7pm. As usual, everyone will meet opposite Lynhams that evening. We really hope to have a great turnout this month, plenty to be done in the growing season.

Active Retirement

We are hosting a Tea/Coffee morning for our Active Retirement group outside in the car park of the centre abiding by government guidelines. It will take place on Tuesday morning 13th July from 11am to 12.30pm. It would be great to see all our members again after such a long break. Come along in the morning for a chat, cup of tea and slice of cake and new members are always welcome. For further information contact Denise or any of the girls in the centre 0404 45600.
